Practice information
Same practice name, different branches: how can you tell them apart?
How to organize practice names, branches, clinicians, and previous affiliations in one reference sheet.
A name alone is not enough
Branches using the same name must be distinguished using addresses, contact details, and official channels together. More important than identical wording everywhere is ensuring that each piece of information points to the same practice.
Record the supporting evidence in your reference sheet
Gather the official name, branch name, address, main contact details, opening hours, clinicians' current affiliations, website, and map URLs in one place. For each item, record the source and date checked; leave unresolved information marked as unverified.
Separate present information from the past
Readers can be confused when old addresses, closed branches, or clinicians' past experience appear current. When requesting changes, preserve the original screen and supporting evidence, then recheck the same items after correction.
Align visible information with the data
Practice names, addresses, and URLs in page text and structured data must describe the same facts. Do not add unverified qualifications or link another practice's accounts to imply authority.
